Create an Activity

  1. In the Setup Schedule > Activities tab, drag an activity onto the 2D Canvas.
  2. Note: Several pre-defined activities are available for you to drag into the Canvas, for example Drilling and Blasting. The configuration of the scenario determines the activities that are available. The Custom activity is also available for you to define a customised activity type.

The activity details are displayed on the Activity Properties pane on the right of the tab.

  3. In the Activity Properties pane, enter the properties of the new activity:
    1. If you want to change the image for the activity:
      1. Right-click the image and choose Load custom image...
      2. The Choose an image form appears.

      3. Select the image you want to use.
      4. Click Open
      5. The new image appears in the Activity Properties pane.

    2. In the Name field, type a new name for the activity.
    3. If you want to split the locations by polygons or objects, select the Split locations by polygon / object check box.
    4. Note: Splitting locations by polygons or objects is applicable only if your mining method is polygons, bench polygons, or solids.

    5. If you selected the Split polygons by polygon / object check box, type a value in the Split every field.
    6. The Split every value is the number of polygons or objects on which the activity must be complete before the activity can begin in the subsequent polygons or objects.

    7. If you want to allocate resources equally between locations with equal priority, select the Equal resource distribution check box.
    8. If you want to allow resources to work below their MAX_RATE in a location, select the Allow reduced rates check box.
    9. If you want to allow resources to move to higher priority locations when they become available, without completing mining the current location first, select the Allow resource reallocation check box.
    10. In the Comments field, type any notes you want to record about the activity.
